I borrowed some pictures from a friend's blog (Thanks, Eileen) since I was unable to get any really great shots from grad. This year was BFA's largest graduating class with 78 students.

It took me a moment to figure out why there were several "MOM" signs on the top of grad hats. It isn't for their mothers - the MOM stands for Men of Maugenhard, which is one of our dorms. Each dorm has its own grad symbol or tradition that they do during the ceremony.
After the ceremony the kids move to the patio and there are many hugs and tears as they say goodbye. Some have been dorm brothers or sisters for 4 years. Graduation at a boarding school is more intense than in small town America where we will most likely all return to the area several times in our lives. Here this could be goodbye forever to people who are as close as your real family.
